David: communicating with God -- David, wearing hat with crown, wearing purse at waist, playing harp, kneels on one knee before draped altar flanked by curtains hanging on rods. God, rays as cross nimbus, is seated on throne on the altar, raising right hand in blessing, holding tripartite globe with left hand.
Exterior visible behind David. Background of gold scroll on red, below cloud. Heads of angels (?) visible above the cloud.
Margins decorated with floreate rinceaux.
