Veronica, wearing veil and wimple, with hem of dress inscribed VERONICE AB AMORIS CHRISTI (sic),stands and holds in both hands the sudarium, inscribed with face of Christ, with decorated crossed rays as nimbus. Figure in room with coffered ceiling and columns.
Miniature enclosed in frame inscribed SALVE SANTA FACIES NOSTRI REDEMPTORIS IN QVA VITET SPECIES DIVINA SPLENDORIS DATAQVE VERONICE SIGNO (sic).
Amid foliate ornament in margins are nude man, wearing conical hat, seated astride fantastic animal; man, pruning bunch of grapes with pruning hook, standing beside bucket; three birds; fantastic animal with two heads on long necks looking at each other; two long-necked hybrid men, with animal bodies, both earing hats; man kneeling on one knee, holding front paws of seated dog; and man, with bandage around his head, with rod raised over his head, beside bird.
Miniature and ornament executed in grisaille and gold tones with color accents.
