Scene, Liturgical: Procession -- Tonsured man holds in both hands monstrance, within which is wafer (host). He is beneath canopy carried by four angels. Scene in landscape setting.
In margin are eight roundels.
Upper margin, left roundel:
Zacharias: Annunciation -- Zacharias (head and shoulders only), nimbed, with joined hands raised, looking toward angel, with hands extended.
Upper margin, center roundel:
Zacharias: Annunciation -- Half-figures of Zacharias, nimbed, and Elizabeth, nimbed and veiled, embrace.
Upper margin, right roundel:
Elizabeth: Annunciation -- Elizabeth (as half figure), nimbed and veiled, with joined hands raised, looking toward angels, with hands extended.
Left margin, center roundel:
Half-figure of John Baptist, nimbed, with joined hands raised.
Right margin, center roundel:
John Baptist: Birth -- Elizabeth, nimbed, reclines in bed, holding infant John Baptist. Scene in room with window.
Lower left roundel:
Evangelist John, nimbed, as half figure, holds open book in both hands. Beside him is his symbol (eagle).
Lower margin, right roundel:
Evangelist Matthew, nimbed, as half figure, raises right hand and holds book in left hand. Beside him is his symbol (angel).
Lower margin, center roundel:
Escutcheon with Pallavicino arms, surmounted by Bishops' miter, and flanked by crozier and two crossed keys. At top are initials C and P. Roundel is flanked by angels, seated on ground. One plays portative organ and other plays lute. Each is beside two rabbits.
Margin is decorated with foliate border, inhabited by putti.
