Pentecost -- Dove of Holy Ghost descends in rays from cloudy arc of Heaven toward Virgin Mary, veiled with wimple, with arms crossed on breast, possibly seated, surrounded by possibly fourteen Apostles, all with scalloped nimbi (some with only nimbi visible), the foremost two, possibly Apostle Peter and Evangelist John, partly kneeling, with joined hands raised. Scene in room with tessellated background, brick wall, and tiled floor. Margins decorated with foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature at beginning of Short Hours of the Holy Spirit.
