1) Month, Occupation: January -- Man, wearing hat, holding glass in right hand, and woman, veiled, sit on carved bench behind draped trestle table, with plates, glasses, and other utensils. Standing before the table is woman, veiled, carrying bowl in right hand.
2) Zodiac Sign: Aquarius -- Nude youth pours water from vessel.
Right margin with floreate and vinescroll ornament arranged in geometric patterns.
