Louise of Savoy, wearing crown over black veil, stands between two heraldic shields decorated with her arms (per pale Angouleme and Savoy); before her is lily plant. She is surrounded by half-figures of ox and lion, heads of dog or wolf, and phoenix perched on column, possibly representative of virtues and vices, all on grassy landscape and against decorated background. Miniature framed by wreath and clusters of laurel berries.
