Within initial F:
Jerome, dressed as cardinal, is seated on bench writing with right hand at desk with attached lectern. On floor beside desk is either dog or lion.
Scene is set in room with three windows in wall within initial. Initial has long descender that becomes frame for two columns of text.
Foliate and floreate border containing unicorn pursued by hound on bottom and owl on right.
Beginning of Jerome, Epistle to Paulinus.
