Right margin:
Christ: Betrayal and Arrest -- Judas leans over right shoulder of Christ as if to kiss Him. They are surrounded by soldiers, some holding spears, one with right hand on breast of Christ, another, grasping His robe with left hand. In His right hand Christ holds ear (?) of Malchus, seated at His feet, holding rod with right hand, looking upward. (Apostle, Peter: cutting off Ear of Malchus, Peter not present) Fence and stream are in foreground.
Lower margin:
1) Christ: crowned with Thorns -- At left, two men stand behind Pilate (?) wearing hat, holding scepter or rod with left hand. He looks toward Christ, seated on bench, hands crossed on lap. He is flanked by two men, each holding pole to crown of thorns on His head.
Interior scene below roof with chimney on roof.
2) Christ: Flagellation -- At right, Christ, wearing loincloth, stands with back to column, his arms behind His back. He is flanked by two men, raising right arms, one holding withes. Another man, wearing hat with feather, sits at feet of Christ, holding rope wrapped around His ankles.
Margins scattered with naturalistic flowers including strawberry, speedwell, rose, viola and strawberry.
