Miniature:
Within room, seated on bench at writing table, Jean de Vignay writes in ruled book with quill. Inkpot, pen, scraper and round object are on table. On raised lectern above table is second book with pseudo-inscriptions, from which he translates. Within cabinet under table are several books with bosses. Behind him, below window, is bench with closed book with two clasps and bosses.
In courtyard beyond room, standing before church, man and falconer, with bird perched on left wrist, converse. Peacock and peahen inhabit courtyard.
Initial M:
Within decorated initial M, two angels hold arms of Jean d'Auxy (chequy red and gold).
