David: communicating with God -- David, nimbed, hands raised, kneels looking upward toward God, nimbed, right hand raised in blessing. He is seated on arc within mandorla flanked by two six winged seraphs.
Scene within initial A decorated with floreate ornament with heads or masks, all on gold ground.
Margins decorated with border of foreate ornament inhabited by putto. Medallion in lower margin enclosing bust of man, probably prophet, nimbed, raising right hand and holding scroll with left hand.
