Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, reclining on mattress, lifts Christ Child, cross-nimbed, partially nude, from manger, behind which appear heads of ox and ass. Joseph the Carpenter, seated, supports head with right hand. Scene in lower part of initial H.
