Initial R:
Christ: Resurrection -- Christ, cross-nimbed, raising right hand and holding staff (?) in left, stands with right foot out of sarcophagus, the lid of which rests behind. Before the sarcophagus, one of three soldiers lays asleep, holding helmet and wearing sword. The other two are seated, wearing helmets; one holds knife (?), the other, broad axe and shield.
Dog at end of spiral on top of the letter R.
Margin:
1) Bestiary: Lion with Young -- Lion restoring young to life.
2) Ass playing psaltery; monkey kneeling on one knee holding object; squirrel holding round object.
3) Foliate and floreate ornament.
4) Inscription giving name of donor, DOMINUS IOHANNES DE WUSTORPE P(RE)SBIT(ER) PROTHONO(TA)RI(US) CIVITATIS HAMBURGEN[SIS] DEDIT ISTUM LIBRUM ORATE DEUM PRO EO.
