Christ: mocked and Christ: crowned with Thorns -- Two tormenters, one wearing hat and the other wearing helmet, with switches place crown of thorns on head of Christ, with rays as nimbus, bleeding from wounds from thorns, with hands bound with rope, holding palm in right hand, seated on bench. Before Him kneel two men, both holding their hats, one bald, both kneeling with arms extended. Scene in room with marble floor and paneled walls, inscribed AVE REX IVDEORVM.
Miniature enclosed in architectural frame, with two niches in pilaster at left enclosing figures, including one wearing hood and the other wearing pointed hat and holding scroll with pseudo-inscription, possibly prophet. Below at base of pilaster is medallion with skull and bones. In lower frame are two medallions enclosing helmeted heads, flanking cherub holding scroll inscribed AVE REX IVDEORVM.
