Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, with crown of thorns, eyes shut, head inclined, wearing short loincloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus INRI. He is flanked above by sun and moon, and below by two thieves, wearing very short loincloths, arms bound over top of t-shaped crosses, legs bound, broken, wounds bleeding. Thief at right hand of Christ looks up; head of other thief is inclined. At feet of Christ, to left, Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, wearing wimple, hands clasped on breast is seated on ground with two Holy Women, nimbed and veiled behind her and Evangelist John, nimbed, arms extended, next to her. To right of the cross stand two men wearing pointed hats, one holding shield and looking up at Christ. At far right is crowd of soldiers wearing helmets, holding spears.
