Month, Occupation: January -- In right margin, figure, wearing hat, sits at table, and holds bowl in right hand. On table is plate, food and loaf of bread. Behind him is figure holding plate. In background is fireplace with escutcheon with heraldic decoration (or, a lion issuant gules).
Zodiac Sign: Aquarius -- In lower margin, nude man reclines in water in landscape setting.
At top, side, and bottom of margins are the repeated initials A and M.
