Scribe, wearing red hat and hooded garment, sits on bench, holds pen with right hand and with left hand supports open book with pseudo-inscriptions on his lap, beside hexagonal lectern on which is pencase and dangling inkpot. In background, book on shelf on wall. Scene in room under carved arcade with figures in niches and tiled floor with doorway to left. Initial E formed of stork and foliate decoration.
