Virgin Mary, nimbed, holding Christ Child, nimbed, nude, appears on draped altar flanked by four columns surmounted by carved angels and candles. Behind altar is carved retable with two figures in architectural niches, one possibly John Baptist, holding lamb in left hand, the other possibly Apostle Andrew, holding saltire cross. Below, angel, holding flower in left hand, stands behind queen, crowned, kneeling with hands joined before prie-dieu surmounted by book and draped with cloth decorated with device and arms of Eleanor of Portugal (see main record). Dog lies beside prie-dieu.
Left border of frame decorated with illusionistic architectural frame with statues of figures in niches.
