1) Benedict of Montecassino: Scene, Gregory delivering Vita to Monks -- Dove of Holy Ghost flies toward ear of Gregory the Great, nimbed, wearing papal tiara and vestments, seated on bench, with knife in left hand and pen in right hand, writing on open book on lectern, in trefoiled architectural frame decorated with multifoiled crockets.
To right, Constantine of Montecassino, Simplicius of Montecassino, Honoratus of Fondi, and Valentinianus the Benedictine, including one holding book with two straps, all wear Benedictine abbots' habits, hold croziers, and stand behind Peter the Deacon, nimbed, wearing deacon's vestments with maniple over left wrist, holding scroll and kneeling before the pope.
