Christ: Miracle of raising Lazarus -- Christ, rays as nimbus, extends right hand above Peter, nimbed, leaning over, grasping with right hand, left arm of Lazarus, body partially covered with shroud, emerging from monumental tomb. Other figures stand behind Christ, one nimbed, possibly covering part of face with right arm. Two women, probably Mary and Martha, one veiled, the other with clasped hands, stand behind Peter.

Miniature within frame decorated with garlands, and with clusters of vegetables including squash; escutcheon decorated with heraldry of Claude Gouffier (or, three bars gemels sable), surmounted by crown, and surrounded by collar of the order of the Archangel Michael; two halberds piercing top of the frame; two caryatids, pillows on heads, armless, bodies terminating with feet of lion, legs entwined with blue scroll inscribed reversed motto of Claude Gouffier, HAERET TERMIN(US) HIC; two sheathed swords entwined with blue straps decorated with fleur-de-lis, piercing bottom of frame; medallion decorated with monogram of Claude Gouffier, Phi Chi.
