Innocents: Massacre -- Within architectural setting, two soldiers, wearing armor, raise swords to strike two infants. Mother, kneeling, grasps one soldier by neck. In center, Herod, crowned, wearing armor, holding scepter in right hand, sits on throne. Beside him, three men, wearing pointed headdress and one man, wearing partial armor and carrying sword, look on.
Beyond far wall of room and visible through colonnade is landscape.
