Christ: Pietà -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, with joined hands raised, holds in her lap body of Christ, nimbed, wearing crown of thorns and short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds. Flanking Mary are Evangelist John, nimbed, with joined hands raised, and Mary Magdalen, nimbed, wearing turban-like headdress, holding ointment jar. Behind Mary is tau cross, with titulus inscribed INRI.
