Miniature:
Virgin Mary: Coronation -- Angel places crown on head of Virgin Mary, kneeling with joined hands raised before Christ, scalloped nimbus, seated on throne. He raises right hand in blessing and holds globe surmounted by cross in left hand. To left, group of angels look on.
Miniature and text framed by historiated border with the following figures and scenes:
Left border:
Angel appears in top left corner above Coronation scene.
Lower border:
Virgin Mary: Death -- Within compartment formed by arch, Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, hands folded across chest, reclines on bed. Apostles, nimbed, several raising joined hands, some seated on ground, gather around bed. Two apostles hold open books.
Lower and right border:
To right, Apostles: Miraculous Assembly -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, reclining on bed, raises right arm toward apostles, nimbed, appearing above amid clouds in left border. Three angels, nimbed, arms crossed, appear above apostles.
Virgin Mary: Assumption -- In upper right corner, appearing amid clouds, two angels and God, nimbed, wearing triple-crowned tiara, support Virgin Mary, nimbed, crowned, hands joined at breast.
