Angel, Archangel Michael: transfixing Satan -- Michael, rays as nimbus, holding cross staff with both hands, pierces body of devil with claw feet, grasping the cross staff with left hand against background of gold scroll work.
Blue heads appear above arch inside frame of miniature.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux inhabited by hybrid men wearing hats, and hybrid woman (?). Gold geometric ornament at each corner of miniature.
