Evangelist symbol (lion) sits before desk on which is leaf with pseudo-inscription. Evangelist Mark, wearing cap, is seated on bench at the desk writing with left (?) hand on the leaf. Above his head is shelf with four books and one roll.
Scene in room with tile floor, framed in stone arch.
Margins inscribed INICIUM SANCTI EUUANGELII and decorated with rampant lion and open book.
