Two scenes within miniature:
1) Felix II, Pope: Consecration -- Within architectural setting, two bishops, wearing bishop's vestments and miters, place triple-crowned tiara on head of Felix II, nimbed, wearing vestments, seated on faldstool decorated with animal heads. He raises right hand in blessing and grasps processional cross also held by one bishop. Behind him is patterned hanging.
2) Felix II, Pope: Martyrdom -- Outside of architectural setting, within landscape, Constantius II, crowned, holding scepter, and another man look on as executioner raises sword above Felix II (represented twice), nimbed, wearing triple-crowned tiara, kneeling, hands joined.
