Man wearing hat, holding book with both hands, sitting on pillow at initial I decorated with foliate ornament. In upper margin, man wearing short loin cloth reclining on drapery, right hand extended downward to gold ball. Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson, first nocturn for Matins on Tuesday in first week of Passion season.
