Roman de la Rose: Scene, Genius expounding on Park -- God, nimbed, wearing crown over cross-surmounted papal tiara, emitting rays, raises right hand in blessing and holds globe surmounted by cross with left hand, seated on rock, from which water flows, as fountain, in three streams to pool, and out of which sprouts tree, flanked on either side by groups of men and women, at least nine crowned with wreaths, many gesturing or with joined hands raised amid sheep (Genius not present).
Scene enclosed in circular crenellated garden wall and in foreground, through arched gate, emerges Lamb of God, nimbed, holding cross-staff with cross-inscribed banner, flock of black and white sheep surround the walls.Miniature within architectual frame with decorative scrollwork.
