Upper miniature:
Gervasius and Protasius, both nimbed and tonsured, wearing deacon's vestments, each hold palm in one hand and book in the other hand, one book open. They stand before wall, flanking tree surrounded by turf bench.
Lower miniature:
Martyrs of Mount Ararat, wearing armor and ermine capes, some holding tau crosses, some also holding scourges. Many, only heads visible.
