Christ: calling James and John -- Christ, with crossed nimbus, stands with right hand raised and turns to look at John, nimbed, holding goblet in right hand and book with two clasps in left hand, and at James Major, nimbed, wearing hat with pilgrim's badge and holding pilgrim's staff and scrip. Behind them stands Zebedee. Gold foliate background. Scene in half-circular vignette in left margin.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux, foliate, and vinescroll ornament.
