Two scenes within miniature:
1) Eusebius of Vercelli: pardoning Dionysius of Milan -- Within boat, Eusebius of Vercelli, nimbed, wearing bishop's miter and vestments, holding crozier in left hand, raises right hand in blessing toward Dionysius of Milan, wearing bishop's miter and vestments, extending right hand and holding crozier in left hand, standing at shore. Behind him stands attendant.
2) Eusebius of Vercelli: Martyrdom -- To right, man wearing hat, holding scepter in left hand, looks on as two executioners throw stones at Eusebius (represented twice), nimbed, tonsured, kneeling, hands joined. Beside him, on ground, is miter. He glances up toward arc of heaven bordered by rainbow.
