1) Christ: Deposition -- In initial D decorated with geometric ornament and and foliate spandrels, Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, grasps the left arm of Christ, and Joseph of Arimathea, with draped hands, supports His torso. Christ, cross-nimbed, wears long loin cloth. Nicodemus, wearing a hat and kneeling, raises a hammer in his right hand and with pincers in his left hand extracts a nail from the feet of Christ on cross.Behind him is Evangelist John, nimbed, holding book
2) Margins - Rectilinear bars decorated with interlace and foliage, enclosing five French heraldic shields, including Moreuil (three), and inhabited by a dog pursuing a rabbit, a hybrid animal, three-quarter figure of angel with bat wings, two hybrid men including one winged, wearing a hat, and a bird.
