Roman de la Rose: Scene, Carol of God of Love -- Youthful male, wearing hat and fur-trimmed garment, with right hand extends bow and with left hand extends arrows to extended hands of winged God of Love (Eros), crowned, wearing short loin-cloth knotted at side, lower leg decorated, looking toward Lover, wearing feathered cap and fur-lined coat, gathering garment in left hand, looking over right shoulder; all in garden enclosed by fence with gate.
