Scene, Liturgical: Obsequies -- Group of tonsured monks stand behind tonsured priest, wearing cope, holding open book with pseudo-inscription. To right is draped cross-inscribed bier. Behind bier, flanked by lighted candles, is tonsured monk, holding aspergil in right hand and processional cross in left hand. Scene in room with arcade and wooden ceiling.
Margins with foliate ornament. In top margin are two skulls and bones. In right margin is Pan-like hybrid man, encircled by scroll or ribbon, holding with both hands fantastic winged serpent. In lower margin is Pan-like hybrid man, encircled by scroll or ribbon, holding spear (?) in right hand toward hybrid man with lion's hindquarters.
