Magi: Adoration -- Beneath ruined shed and Star of Bethlehem, Virgin Mary, nimbus as ray, wearing turban headdress, seated on pillow, with right hand accepting vessel, on her lap is nude Christ Child, cross-nimbed with rays, both before eldest Magus, wearing ermine-trimmed garment, his crown on ground, kneeling with joined hands raised, accompanied by two other Magi, one, lifting cap from head and with right hand holding vessel, the other, dark-skinned, wearing crown, and holding vessel; head of ass and ox to left; groups of people, some on horseback and city buildings in landscape background. Margins decorated with borders of strewn roses, and inhabited by pair of birds and two moths. Miniature facing the beginning of None in Hours of the Virgin.
