Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, with joined hands, kneels looking down at nude Christ Child, crossed nimbus, reclining on cloth on bed of straw. Joseph the Carpenter, right hand to chin, left hand holding crutch kneels on one knee next to Mary, looking down toward Christ Child. Ox and ass stand in doorway at right. Shepherds, each holding pedum, look through ruined windows.
