Christ: before Pilate -- Pilate, wearing ermine hat and collar, holding rod in right hand, sits on throne. Before him stands Christ, with crossed rayed nimbus and joined hands covered by His sleeves, flanked by helmeted soldiers. Scene in decorated initial H.
Margins with scattered flowers,including viola and daisy, and vinescroll, in lozenge pattern, inhabited by two birds. Two vignettes:
Christ: before Herod Antipas (?) -- Christ, with crossed rayed nimbus, stands flanked by three helmeted soldiers. Before him sits Herod Antipas (?), crowned, holding scepter in left hand.
Christ: Flagellation -- Christ, with crossed rayed nimbus, wearing short loin cloth, stands bound to column. Flanking Him are four tormentors, including two with switches and two with scourges.
