Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Archangel Gabriel, decorated nimbus, kneels, holds scroll inscribed AVE GRATIA PLENA D(OMI)N(U)S from Luke 1:28 in left hand, and raises right hand toward Virgin Mary, decorated nimbus, kneeling with right hand on open book on prie-dieu behind vase of lilies. Dove of Holy Ghost descends in rays of light from window toward the Virgin. Canopied bed (?) in background.
Scene in room within arched gold frame surrounded by foliate border.
In lower margin (bas-de-page), square escutcheon (quarterly, 1 and 4, azure, a cross moline argent, with three fleurs-de-lis (?), and 2 and 3, or, two lions passant gules).
