Within initial F, foremost of five angels, three nimbed, holds shawm (?) above scroll inscribed HODIE MARIA MVNDO MATA (sic). They fly above walled city in landscape. Margins decorated with border of vining floreate ornament; blank medallion in upper margin. In lower margin, at left, half-figure of Anna, inscribed S(ANCTA) ANNA, nimbed and veiled with wimple, hands clasped, emerging from flower, looking toward youthful Virgin Mary, nimbed, with joined hands, standing in landscape, enclosed in medallion. At right, Joachim, inscribed S(ANCTUS) IOACHIM, wearing hat, gesturing with both hands, emerging from flower, looking toward the medallion. Text is collect for Lauds on 9.8, feast of Birth of Virgin Mary.
