1) Benedict of Montecassino: Scene, marking Spring with Three Stones -- Young Placidus of Sicily, tonsured, wearing monk's habit, with right hand draped, raises left hand toward Benedict, nimbed, tonsured, in monk's habit, kneeling and placing three stones on hillock of rocky landscape with three trees.
Scene caption on frame, HUIC SU[M]PTO PUERO DOMINUM PETIT ORDINE MERO. SIGNAQUE DIUINA PROFERT OPE SAXEA TRINA.
2) Benedict of Montecassino: Scene, striking Rock -- Beside building, Benedict, nimbed, tonsured, wearing abbot's habit, holds crozier in left hand and with right hand points toward two tonsured monks, one digging with spade at three rocks from which stream flows downhill, and the other striking ground with mattock.
