Two scenes within miniature:
1) Virgin Mary: Death -- Within architectural setting, twelve apostles, including many holding books, gather around Virgin Mary, veiled, eyes open, reclining on bed. She grasps end of candle held by Apostle Peter, tonsured. All figures are nimbed.
2) Virgin Mary: borne to Burial -- Outside of architectural setting, within landscape, twelve apostles, all nimbed, carry bier, draped with blue cloth decorated with cross and stars. Evangelist John carries palm.
In foreground, both hands of Prince of Priests, wearing high priest's miter and vestments, and left hand of soldier, holding sword in right hand, cling to bier.
