Margin, left: Christ: Miracle of healing Blind Bartimaeus (?) -- Christ, cross-nimbed, accompanied by five apostles, two nimbed and gesturing (most with only heads visible), the Christ with raised hands before man, possibly Blind Bartimaeus, seated on shore, with joined hands raised. Scene in landscape with trees and buildings in background. Illustration for Third Nocturn, Lesson Seven of Matins for Sunday in Quinquagesima, Luke 18:31-43. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by prophets, one wearing hat and the other wearing purse tied to belt, both holding scrolls inscribed TRADETUR and RESPICES (left).
