Julius Caesar: Scene, Conquest of Gaul, Revolt of the Aedui -- Among eight men, wearing brimmed hats, some pointed or conical, one raises mace toward man falling on ground, bleeding from wounds in head, three raise halberds or mace and three, one possibly Litaviccus, stand in conversation, two joining hands. Scene in grassy landscape with tree. Figures painted in grisaille. Decorated with ivy-rinceaux and floreate ornament in border above and below left column, including daisies, miniature within gold frame.
