David: communicating with God -- David, wearing pointed hat with crown, with joined hands raised, kneels looking up to rayed arc of Heaven in which is half figure of God (?). Harp, partially in sack, is next to David. Scene is in landscape with rocky outcrop, trees, and hills in distance.
Miniature carried out in grisaille, with painted details.
Margins decorated with border of foliate ornament in grisaille.
