David: in Prayer -- David, crowned, wearing ermine-trimmed robe, with hands raised, kneels on tile floor beside harp. In background is throne, and draped altar (?) with reliquary or devotional object, beneath canopy. Visible in window opening is angel, emanating rays, in clouds of heaven, holding raised sword in right hand. Scene in room with marble-paneled walls and distant landscape with buildings visible through window.
Miniature enclosed in architectural frame, with two carved niches in right margin, with top niche enclosing two nimbed men, and lower niche enclosing nimbed man and bishop, wearing miter and cope, holding open book in both hands. All executed in cama³aeu. In lower margin are panels enclosing flowers alternating with panels with vase flanked by fish and with vase alone.
