Shepherds: Annunciation -- In foreground, shepherd is seated on ground, leaning against trough, holding pedum with right hand and shielding eyes with left hand. Bagpipe is on ground beside him. He looks up toward half-figure of angel in cloud, holding with both hands scroll inscribed GLORIA IN EXSELSIS. Sheep are nearby and in background with two other shepherds each leaning on pedum, looking up toward the angel. Wheeled hut is beyond the sheep.
