Livres des Merveilles du Monde: Scene, Qedar -- To left, emerging from shed, three women gesture toward two bearded men, one emerging from another shed, with left hand lowered, and one sitting in grass, with right hand raised. To right, among group of ten men, some look up toward sky and gesture, one sits on ground with arms crossed on breast, one sits beneath shed gesturing, and one supports club on right shoulder; all figures in scene are partly draped in garments of animal skins (most with heads attached). Scene in hilly landscape with rivesr, trees in background. Initial C of Cedar decorated with foliate ornament. Miniature for Livre de Merveilles du Monde for Qedar (Jordan).
