Christ: of Sorrows -- Half figure of Christ, crossed nimbus, with crown of thorns, wearing loincloth, showing wounds in hands and side, holds withes under right arm and scourge under left arm. He stands in sarcophagus on which are coins, covered vessel, and ointment jars (?). Behind Him is cross with titulus INRI, garment draped over, and ladder leaning on, right arm of cross; man, wearing hat stands under left arm of the cross. All within initial H.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament and bunches of twigs, and inhabited by pelican pecking breast for her three young; angel holding column surmounted by cock (rooster); and angel (?) wearing stole decorated with crosses, holding three nails with right hand and, with left hand, scroll inscribed ANGELI ... FLEVERUNT ... .
