1) Roman de la Rose: Scene, Lover pierced by Arrow of God of Love -- In tree, accompanied by male figure, God of Love (Eros), crowned, winged, with bow shoots arrow into eye of Lover emerging with arrow in breast (heart), swooning and breaching wicker fence enclosing garden of roses.
Scene against gold background within frame decorated with six tendrils of trefoil leaves.
