David: communicating with God -- Nathan, wearing hat, with right hand points toward God, nimbed, with right hand raised in blessing, holding cross-surmounted globe in left hand, in starry arc of heaven emanating rays, in sky. Before Nathan kneels David, with joined hands raised, kneeling on ground beside crown and prie-dieu with open book with pseudo-inscription. Behind David is canopied throne. In background is low wall with brocade cloth and distant castle beyond.

David: slinging at Goliath -- Goliath, wearing armor and helmet, holding broken spear in left hand, lays on ground before David, as youth, wearing hat, slinging stone with raised right hand. Scene in landscape with trees.
