Roman de la Rose: Scene, God of Love locking Heart of Lover -- God of Love (Eros), crowned, winged, with right hand on gold belt with pouch, extends key in left hand toward Lover, wearing draped hat, with crossed hands over his breast.
Scene against floreate background of flowers (meant to be roses), within gold frame sprouting foliage, at left of which is scroll, inscribed in blue and red, LI DIEU D’AMOURS AUEC L’AMANT.
